Freshwater farm bill

⭐️The bill to make freshwater farm plans more workable on the ground has just passed its final reading in Parliament⭐️

As a policy advisor and advocate, I have advocated for these changes. I was very concerned around the significant amount of Council resources / ratepayer funds required to implement Freshwater Farm Plans. The legislation was not going to achieve its promises and farmers would be bogged down in paperwork rather than out there doing what farmers do best - farm! 🦌🐑🐕🐄🤠

I am proud to say I advocated for this change by working with central govt. This mean better results - stronger environment 🌳🌱 better mental health for our food producers who are currently feeling overwhelmed by unworkable rules that they can not afford - WE can not afford it either. This is a WIN for all kiwis!! 🥳
